Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply for Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor.
- Must pass a pre-employment substance screening.
- Must pass Level II Fingerprinting.
- Assistant Supervisor: Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a childcare/day camp program, including direct contact with children and staff supervision.
- Supervisor: Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a childcare/day camp program, including direct contact with children and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Organize and participate in games, sports, individual and group activities, arts and crafts, theme weeks, special events, field trips, and the summer reading program.
- Assist with providing necessary modifications to ensure all children can participate in camp activities.
- Direct summer recreation camp operation, generally with less than 175 campers.
- Act as a liaison with field trip venues; responsible for maintaining the safety of children and staff at field trip locations and during transportation.
- Display leadership ability in planning and directing recreational activities.
- Ensure the safety and security of children and staff at a facility; maintain safe conditions at a facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- College coursework is preferred for all positions.
