Requirements
- Degree in accounting or finance preferred or 3+ years of AR experience or equivalent
- Previous experience researching, analyzing and solving problem payment data issues
- Skilled at completing cash audits of accounting records and cash accounts for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures
- Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to follow policy and procedures
- Must be able to work independently and with little supervision – must be self directed
- Proven ability to problem solve and take appropriate actions
- Must be detail orientated with strong analytical and mathematical abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Ability to multi-task
Responsibilities
- Resolve cash application issues presented by internal & external sources and communicate resolution to requestor
- Perform quality assurance and compliance in AR related activities
- Audit/check and verify daily deposits entered by offshore outsourcing company as well as daily cash balancing
- Interaction with offshore outsourcing staff and rectification of all issues raised
- Investigate unapplied cash and resolve outstanding balances
- Assist personnel in maintaining daily cash reconciliation spreadsheets for each lockbox and resolving cash reconciling items
- Identify processing exceptions that inhibit application efficiencies and recommend solutions
- Other duties as assigned / special projects
- Processing of more complex accounting processes and accounts
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in accounting or finance preferred
