Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytics engineering, data engineering, or analytics role with a focus on designing, launching, and iterating on self-service data products.
  • Highly proficient in SQL.
  • Dbt and Looker experience is preferred.
  • Experience with data manipulation, analysis, and visualization libraries and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and standard methodologies.
  • Comfortable with data warehouse technologies and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP).
  • A leader and skilled mentor, with a proven track record of successfully leading analytics engineering projects.
  • Strategic thinker who connects dots and ensures value-delivery of work.
  • High-agency individual with an ownership mindset.
  • Enjoys teaching others to fish and thinks about how to force-multiply the impact of work.
  • Problem-solver, highly attentive to detail, and able to work autonomously within complex problem spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of analytics engineering solutions by ensuring they align with business objectives and standard methodologies.
  • Develop, design and optimize data pipelines, and data models, data workflows and queries to extract valuable insights from complex and large-scale datasets while ensuring efficient and reliable data processing.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex analytics projects and initiatives, using storytelling to support our analysts in articulating nuances in our data to partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to gather analytical requirements and design scalable data architectures that meet analytics needs and support business goals.
  • Stay up to date on emerging data analytics trends and technologies, evaluating their potential for adoption and driving innovation within the team.
  • Apply data visualization tools and techniques to communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical partners.
  • Partner closely with data engineers and analysts to integrate analytics solutions into existing systems and applications.
  • Mentor and advise guidance to other analytics engineers and advise data analysts, assisting them and consulting on technical problem-solving skills.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, standard methodologies, and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dbt and Looker experience is preferred.
