Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) years’ experience leading quality and process improvement efforts, preferably in a clinical setting, with demonstrated consultative, communication, coaching, and teaching, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Lean tools and concepts such as: PDSA, A3 thinking, Daily Problem Solving at front line, Waste, 5S, Standard Work.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to do data analysis, report writing and update/change/make project plans and strategic plans.
  • Oral and written communication skills including training, coaching, and facilitating.
  • Knowledge of inpatient and clinic operations.
  • Just In Time (JIT), process flow techniques, and Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Project management experience in process transformation.
  • Proficient in Computer Applications, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Form, lead, and facilitate cross functional teams through planning, developing, coordinating and implementing improvement efforts, ensuring implementation runs smoothly and that gains are sustained and measured through data analysis and ongoing measurement of actionable performance data.
  • Facilitate the diagramming and evaluation of existing processes, including identification of gaps, root cause analysis of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach and develop leaders and team members to improve the organization’s capability to continuously improve utilizing Lean methodology.
  • Support teams in developing metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Perform cost and benefit analyses.
  • Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes, recommend and facilitate improvements.
  • Deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
  • Consult with leaders, departments, and committees on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and quality.
