Requirements
- 10+ years in IT leadership roles within a high-growth technology or security-driven environment.
- Proven experience managing global IT infrastructure and business applications.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
- Hands-on experience with networking, AWS cloud platforms, cybersecurity best practices, identity providers such as Okta and G Suite business systems.
- Ability to be in office a minimum of 4 days per week in San Mateo, CA.
Responsibilities
- Own and scale IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across all Skydio locations.
- Oversee the development, deployment, and support of IT systems, including network, application, and end-user services.
- Work with engineering, product, and operations teams to align IT initiatives and support Skydio’s specific project requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of IT strategies that align with business growth and operational needs.
- Implement automation, monitoring, and proactive IT solutions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures to protect Skydio’s assets and maintain compliance with relevant standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement systems that enhance productivity and support company goals.
- Foster a high-performing team by recruiting, developing, and mentoring IT professionals.
