Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or economics preferred. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as valuation techniques (Discounted Cash Flow, comps, etc.), Internal Rate of Returns, asset allocations, and more
  • 3+ years of previous experience in financial services or asset management role or experience working with large datasets
  • Strong Excel proficiency
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, or other programming languages
  • Strong interest in M&A and private financial markets
  • Critical thinker
  • Detail oriented with an analytical mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Utilize strong Microsoft Excel, SQL, and other programming language skills to provide high-quality data analysis and support to clients, internal stakeholders, and select media outlets
  • Contribute to research and analysis across our core asset allocation, private equity, and venture capital coverage areas
  • Work closely with other quantitative research analysts to develop new models and metrics, as well as identify unique data points to support research
  • Serve as data and markets expert for all use cases that utilize PitchBook’s broad database
  • Manage and complete select time-sensitive custom research requests for subscribing clients leveraging the team’s models and IP
  • Manage and respond to inquiries from clients, press, internal colleagues, and the general public regarding published research
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in PitchBook Platform a plus
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
