Requirements
- BS/BA in Finance, Economics or Accounting required
- 5+ years overall experience with business, finance, or analytics-focused environment
- Understanding of Financial concepts including Income Statement structure, P&L terminology, and basic financial calculations. Strong mathematical capabilities.
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changes in priorities, circumstances, and direction
- Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally with all areas of Finance
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyses and profitability determination of contracts, business and billing rules; includes fee-for-service to full risk contracting arrangements
- Perform utilization analyses for accounts, payor types and products
- Participate in meetings to discuss payor pricing strategy in support of contract negotiations
- Accurate and timely financial analysis including proforma P/Ls by payor & product category that support bid rate quotations and contract negotiations for multi-million-dollar business opportunities
- Responsible for familiarity with a variety of Patient Direct’s business concepts, practices, and procedures and their impact on profitability
- Generate reports as requested using departmental databases
- Provides ideas for optimization
- Prepares regular and ad hoc reports to provide transparency to the internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Business Intelligence Software (Hyperion, Cognos, Power BI, TM1, etc.) preferred
- Healthcare background a plus
- Designation such as MBA, CPA or CMA a plus
