Staff Vehicle Controller Validation Engineer

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related field
15+ years of experience in firmware architecture, functionality, integration processes, diagnostics, verification, and validation within the automotive or related industries
Expertise in applying V&V ASPICE principles across suppliers with varying software development maturity
Proficiency in test techniques, including white-box, black-box, and exploratory testing
Experience with the implementation of various test methodologies and creating HIL test assets and environment

Develop strategies that enable suppliers to test software as an integrated system earlier in the development process, emphasizing early testing and ‘shift-left’ principles
Develop test cases based on Zoox’s internal knowledge of robot behavior, use cases, and past issue resolutions
Drive alignment between Zoox and suppliers on DUT and testing environments, ensuring comprehensive coverage assessments across HIL, MIL and SIL
Collaborate with suppliers to adapt test plans, balancing risks from firmware changes and regression to meet project goals
Lead supplier firmware defects resolution & impact assessments by leveraging Zoox architecture & system design teams
