Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in an engineering discipline relevant to manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic systems and circuit card assemblies (CCAs).
  • Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and benchtop electronic test equipment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the refinement of manufacturing processes in collaboration with various teams.
  • Develop and implement new processes and methodologies to enhance manufacturing quality and efficiency.
  • Analyze and optimize workforce utilization, space, and workflow to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Coordinate with management and engineering teams to streamline production processes.
  • Support the testing of analog/digital circuits and embedded devices.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot build and test issues, working closely with operators and technicians.
  • Review and optimize production schedules, engineering specifications, and process flows.
  • Ensure production compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Conduct operator training and oversee equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
  • Write Manufacturing Work Instructions and travelers.
  • Provide comprehensive training to Operations teams on new processes and products.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing departments to provide technical support and information.
  • Lead the execution of assigned manufacturing projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the QA department to maintain high product yield and quality standards.
  • Assist the Operations manager in meeting targeted figures for On-Time Delivery (OTD), Test Yields, and Quality performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in avionics development.
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.
  • Understanding of VHDL (FPGA development) and analog circuit design.
