Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in an engineering discipline relevant to manufacturing.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of electronic systems and circuit card assemblies (CCAs).
- Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and benchtop electronic test equipment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analysis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the refinement of manufacturing processes in collaboration with various teams.
- Develop and implement new processes and methodologies to enhance manufacturing quality and efficiency.
- Analyze and optimize workforce utilization, space, and workflow to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate with management and engineering teams to streamline production processes.
- Support the testing of analog/digital circuits and embedded devices.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Troubleshoot build and test issues, working closely with operators and technicians.
- Review and optimize production schedules, engineering specifications, and process flows.
- Ensure production compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Conduct operator training and oversee equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Write Manufacturing Work Instructions and travelers.
- Provide comprehensive training to Operations teams on new processes and products.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing departments to provide technical support and information.
- Lead the execution of assigned manufacturing projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with the QA department to maintain high product yield and quality standards.
- Assist the Operations manager in meeting targeted figures for On-Time Delivery (OTD), Test Yields, and Quality performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in avionics development.
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.
- Understanding of VHDL (FPGA development) and analog circuit design.
