Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with systems engineering on large-scale space, ground, software, or hardware systems, or Major Defense Acquisition Programs
- Experience developing, deploying, and troubleshooting software in a containerized environment
- Experience writing and utilizing complex test tools, including automation
- Experience supporting overall engineering integration of Systems Engineering and Integration efforts for the Satellite Control Network, DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs
- Experience performing systems engineering in space or aerospace concepts and alternative design, architectural analysis, modeling and simulation, enterprise strategic planning, or digital engineering methodologies
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), defining networking and infrastructure deployments, and scripting in frameworks, including pytest, Cypress, or Selenium
- Knowledge of Linux, C++, Python, Perl, and Java
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Responsibilities
- Develop, rapidly deploy, and integrate the next generation of resilient space, ground, and user capabilities across the Space Systems Command Enterprise
- Test, analyze, evaluate, validate, and verify systems
- Use ingenuity and broad knowledge of potential sources of new technologies and concepts to identify areas requiring mitigation
- Support senior clients on budgetary and investment prioritizations
- Collaborate with DoD Science and Technology (S&T) organizations to unearth future concepts and create enterprise roadmaps to capture, analyze, and communicate technology transition plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience defining machine learning (ML) models to feed artificial intelligence (AI) applications, especially in image processing
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo, or SysML
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and using Jira and Confluence
- Ability to proactively find and fill gaps in emerging technologies being developed by multiple 3rd parties as a software integrator
- Ability to demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and be highly motivated to contribute to the DoD mission
- Possession of excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
- Security+, Network+, Kubernetes K8, or equivalent Technologies Certifications
