Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience in a data-related field.
- Experience managing delivery across multiple work streams with varying timelines, priorities, and complexities.
- Technical knowledge of data management and governance.
- Proven ability to manage tight delivery timelines and ensure strategic changes meet organizational goals.
- Ability to execute through successful internal partnerships with other organizations, influencing people at all levels across various job functions.
- Excellent leadership skills in managing products, programs, projects, teams, and/or employees.
- Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence.
- Understanding of Agile technological development methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a strategy for developing and delivering product data to support strategic business objectives, operations, advanced analytics, and reporting.
- Foster a strong understanding of data usage within the business and across lines of business and functions through collaborative partnerships with multiple stakeholders, including Product Owners, analytics leads, and business process owners.
- Identify and prioritize critical data within the product, ensuring it is well-documented, understood, and controlled through metadata classification.
- Support the aligned Data & Analytics lead by identifying data required for integration into analytics platforms for projects such as analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Establish expectations for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness within the product, coordinating resources to meet data quality requirements.
- Prioritize resources to resolve data issues promptly, maintaining data consumer trust.
- Develop processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks, including data protection, retention, destruction, storage, use, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with Firmwide policies, standards, and procedures related to data integrity and protection.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with product data delivery partners and data consumers, including senior leaders in Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, Risk, and Control functions.
- Drive teams toward robust execution milestones, understanding and mitigating risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in the product development lifecycle concerning data.
- Demonstrate governance by tracking and managing workstreams and initiatives, agreeing on and tracking KPIs, prioritizing deliverables, addressing risks, and ensuring successful deliveries.
- Manage direct or matrixed staff to execute specific data-related tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Technical knowledge of big data platforms, or data architecture preferred.
- Deep subject matter expertise in business or product data area preferred.
