Supplier Excellence Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/engineering or business-related field AND 7-10+ Years of Engineering/Manufacturing Experience.
OR High School Diploma/GED AND 11 – 14+ years of Engineering/Manufacturing Experience.

Drive and lead implementation of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) across Solventum to achieve measurable and increasing net cost reductions of existing products and materials.
Partner with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials, components, and manufacturing processes that offer cost savings without compromising product quality or performance.
Drive significant supplier base reduction and consolidation by managing the change management process of moving materials from non-strategic to strategic suppliers, while improving costs for the same.
Responsible for recommending and deploying dual/multi sources of supply to ensure continuity of supply of key products.
Leverages strong project and change management skills to drive continuous improvements for the categories.
Drive continuous improvement efforts by implementing lean methodologies, process optimizations to achieve cost reduction targets.

Project management skills – change management skills; leading projects from start to finish.
Technical bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Master’s degree Supply chain/Engineering or business-related field from an accredited institution.
Experience implementing significant improvements or establishing procurement industry best practices across functional areas.
Strong track record of driving operational improvements (e.g. cost savings) to support the business strategy.
Influential with the ability to articulate and drive teams toward a common goal.
Familiarity with VAVE tools and processes – Value Analysis and Value Engineering Tools.
Excellent negotiation skills and proven success working under pressure while driving projects to closure.
