Requirements

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in asset management/portfolio management, ideally with a background in quantitative investment strategies
  • Strong understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management.
  • Understanding of investment operations including trading, execution, reconciliation and performance
  • Solid investment fundamentals and strong interest in financial markets
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain complex financial concepts to a variety of stakeholders from business development, to engineers, to advisor clients.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute on portfolio constructions, asset allocation, rebalancing, performance monitoring and investment strategy analysis for multi-asset portfolios
  • Use quantitative risk models and optimization techniques to manage SMA equity portfolios
  • Design, implement and QA end-to-end new investment process functionalities and improvements
  • Work closely with our technology and sustainability teams to discover and execute on opportunities for innovation and automation throughout the portfolio construction, management and client engagement/reporting processes
  • Partner with Relationship Management and Business Development teams to create and implement portfolio solutions for our clients
  • Investment research and analysis including risk management, investment exposures, sensitivities, client specific customizations and tax overlays
  • Regular knowledge transfer within team and across organization through process and flow documentation, office hours, learning sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in and/or understanding of tax-managed portfolio management is strongly preferred
  • Background in sustainable investing is preferred, but not required
