Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline or similar. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory role
- Knowledge of regulations and industry standards, such as: ANSI/OPEI/ISO/IEC/UL Safety Standards, CPSC 16 CFR 1205, REACH, RoHs, Battery directive (2006/66/EC), WEEE (2012/19/EU)
- Familiarity with design, control, and incorporation of compliance strategies
- Knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes
- Basic mechanical/electrical knowledge to follow test procedures
- Analytical skills to analyze test reports and data
- Must have good project and time management skills
- Familiarity with PLM programs, preferably Teamcenter
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Specify, review, and approve (regulatory) compliance requirements, product information, and documents
- Support product development and configuration management teams with Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis
- Support suppliers and internal supply chain management teams to meet all applicable safety and regulatory compliance requirements
- Support creation of compliance declarations and review of third-party and internal test reports
- Review compliance related content in label designs, operating manuals, and warranty statements
- Represent in norm committees and monitor regulations and standards (ANSI, ISO, IEC, etc.)
- Support customer requests for compliance documentation and certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with small engines and outdoor power equipment a plus
