Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience in software engineering
- Strong background in Python and Spark for large-scale data processing
- A key contributor to the architecture and implementation of event-based or stream processing projects
- Experience with AWS services, especially S3 and ECS
- Experience with Databricks and Apache Airflow
Responsibilities
- Develop features for Zoox’s event-based processing framework to process a large volume of data with complex dependencies.
- Develop features for the schedule-based processing framework, which is built on top of Airflow, Spark, AWS EMR, and DuckDB.
- Build up system observability for performance and reliability monitoring and success measurement.
- Analyze and optimize the latency and resource efficiency of the infrastructure you will develop.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including software engineers, data engineers, and TPMs — to gather requirements, design robust architectures, and implement effective solutions.
