Requirements
- Candidates must be current law students (full-time or part-time) pursuing a J.D. degree and returning to school in Fall 2024.
- Candidates must be team players with the ability to work independently.
- Candidates must be available for the full 10 week internship.
- Candidates must be willing to follow a hybrid work environment.
- Candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Assessing regulatory and compliance risks under Federal laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, and Beneficiary Inducement Statute.
- Reviewing contracts for various compliance requirements.
- Assisting in compliance monitoring functions by analyzing data and performing testing against applicable policies, procedures and regulations.
- Analyzing and improving compliance education tools, trainings, policies, and procedures.
- Accurately updating and maintaining contract databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates should be a 1L or 2L law student.
- Candidates should have strong personal character and ethics.
- Candidates should have superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates should have excellent academic achievement and analytical ability.
- Ideal Candidates have an understanding of health care law and regulatory compliance.
