Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Criminal Justice, Security Studies, IT Systems, or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in physical security technology, with at least 4 years managing direct reports.
- Proven experience leading installations of security systems in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-site installations.
- Expertise in training programs for end-users and ensuring system adoption.
- Deep understanding of physical security system integration with IT networks and platforms.
- Experience developing and managing budgets, including forecasting for system lifecycle replacements.
- In-depth knowledge of CTPAT and FTZ compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, installation, and implementation of physical security systems, with a focus on manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure seamless integration of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and threat detection technologies, with organizational IT infrastructure.
- Develop comprehensive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and reliability of all security systems.
- Work directly with local physical security management to understand risks and vulnerabilities and recommend technology-based solutions.
- Create and manage a proactive equipment replacement strategy, including forecasting and budgeting for end-of-life systems.
- Lead training programs to ensure end-users and key stakeholders are proficient in operating new and existing systems.
- Partner with internal departments and external integrators to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and enforce standards for physical security systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements, including CTPAT and FTZ.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement enhancements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between security and IT teams, ensuring strong alignment and interoperability.
- Evaluate and implement emerging security technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, project progress, and compliance status to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Security Management, IT Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in security systems for global organizations or multi-site operations.
