Requirements

  • Active Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
  • Security+ or CASP+ certification
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in DoDIN operations, IT systems management, cybersecurity, and joint communications systems, with specific experience in DoD and USSOUTHCOM operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entirety of DoDIN operations across the SCITES 2 TO, ensuring the highest level of capability and readiness for all IT and cyber systems, including joint interoperable communications systems.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) requirements, CORA (Cybersecurity Operational Risk Assessment), and Authorization and Assessment (A&A) processes, ensuring all systems meet operational and security standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, IT, and operations experts, to ensure the integration of secure, interoperable IT systems that enhance USSOUTHCOM’s operational advantage.
  • Maintain and enhance the operational readiness of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) and related systems, ensuring the timely deployment of critical technologies for cyberwarfare.
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership in the development and execution of operational plans, ensuring that DoDIN and related systems meet mission-critical requirements for USSOUTHCOM.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to assess operational needs and implement improvements to DoDIN operations and joint communication systems.
  • Ensure the integration of advanced technologies and tools that support seamless interoperability among various cyber systems, ensuring capabilities that support USSOUTHCOM’s strategic objectives.
  • Ensure readiness and operational effectiveness of DoDIN components, focusing on maximizing the functionality, performance, and security of all IT infrastructure and cyber defense systems.
  • Manage compliance assessments, audits, and security reviews to ensure all IT and cyber systems meet DoD standards and USSOUTHCOM requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting USSOUTHCOM or other combatant commands is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, standards, and compliance requirements, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with advanced cybersecurity systems, tools, and protocols used within DoDIN and joint communication systems.
