Requirements
- PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biological Science or related field is required at the time employment begins.
Responsibilities
- Teach one semester of BCB 5930 Special Topics: Molecular Genetics.
- Cover a range of basic topics in molecular genetics and molecular biology including the concept of the gene, transcription, translation, regulation of gene expression and replication.
- Ideally take a genomics-centered approach and cover many of the latest methodologies used in genomics analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the preferred textbook Lewin’s Genes XII by authors Kreg, Goldstein and Kilpatrick.
