Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of combined payroll and accounting experience, preferably with Rippling (or similar payroll platforms).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and payroll tax regulations.
- Python and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Administer full-cycle payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Validate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and benefit deductions.
- Maintain and update payroll records, generating reports for auditing and compliance.
- Process vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring timely payments and correct account coding.
- Monitor A/P aging and resolve discrepancies while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Implement and refine internal controls to streamline A/P processes.
- Oversee collection efforts, following up on outstanding invoices and improving cash flow strategies.
- Reconcile customer billing and payments, proactively resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing and collections.
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc cash reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly, coordinating with relevant departments as needed.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in reviewing financial statements, providing necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
- Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency in payroll, A/P, and cash management.
- Keep current with payroll laws and regulations ensuring best practices and compliance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop robust policies, procedures, and internal controls.
