Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of procurement experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier performance (lead times, on time delivery, etc.)
  • Manage material productivity, including cost reduction, negotiations, RFQ’s / bids, and contract compliance.
  • Provide product life cycle support (new parts set up, obsolescence, resourcing, last time buys).
  • General supplier management activities including alignment with overall strategy, invoice / payment resolution, and the functioning as the primary supplier escalation point for Cross-Functional Teams
  • Work with Materials Planning team members to optimize management of inventory.
  • Develop sourcing strategy on commodity under his/her responsibilities, looking for opportunities of supplier/material consolidation in alignment with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate, develop, implement clear process with vendors and planning to ensure On Time Delivery results of >96%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Procurement experience including negotiations, contracts, and supplier performance management.
  • Experience purchasing service parts is preferred
  • Material Planning background
  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, commitment, and sense of ownership is a must
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact within a cross functional team of Material Planning, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Service, and Quoting/Pricing, as well as Suppliers.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with SAP and PowerBI preferred
