Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree from an accredited university or college
  • 7+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry
  • 2+ years of experience as a System Engineer involved with the development, implementation, and deployment of complex systems
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles and requirement tools (e.g. DOORS, Polarion)
  • Experience working on certified aerospace programs including ARP 4754A, ARP 4761
  • Experience with MBSE tools (e.g. Cameo)
  • Strong communication skills, self-driven and capable of participating in senior leadership discussions
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Support the systems engineering efforts from conceptual design, through validation and test
  • Develop functions (Traffic Surveillance and Maintenance Functionality) of the Strata system in accordance with industry standards
  • Capture, decompose, and validate requirements from initial design to final verification
  • Support planning and execution of validation and verification activities
  • Perform system modeling, requirements decomposition, and support of engineering technical reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to manage the integration of surveillance data service providers and Maintenance Functionality
  • Support technology maturation of advanced system capabilities in accordance with industry standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience working on certified aerospace programs including ARP 4754A
  • Proficient in RTCA DO-381 and DO-260C
