Requirements

  • Successful completion of AMA Accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Completion of mammography training
  • ARRT – Radiography – American Register of Radiologic Technologists
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • RHM-Radiology Mammography
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • Ability to perform examinations of excellent technical quality in an efficient manner
  • Knowledge of Mammography Instrumentation operation and quality control procedures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of departmental computer systems operations (EPIC programs, including Radiant, PACS)

Responsibilities

  • Lead technologist duties directly involve a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation and/or other forms of energy to provide diagnostic images
  • Maintain competency in all areas of licensure for self and all supervised staff
  • Provide leadership for technical and support staff within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for providing and maintaining adequate coverage and coordination of activities within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Provide support and training assistance to all assigned staff
  • Maintain all equipment and equipment certifications, including ACR for Mammography and Ultrasound
  • Acquire high quality images and produce and maintain data for quality management
  • Exercise mature and independent judgment
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Minimum of 5 years as a staff technologist in area of certifications
  • At least two years experience as a Sr. technologist in area of certifications
  • Competent in professional, technical and leadership skills as determined to be adequate by the Manager/Director
