Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in injection molding required
  • Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment or Tier 1 Automotive strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding processes desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Ability to travel occasionally (<10%) required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities including team building, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution
  • Proven track record as a change agent & culture builder
  • Knowledge & experience of lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies
  • Previous experience as a supervisor leading 20 or more employees 2yrs required
  • Proven success in driving waste reduction
  • Must be able to work 12 hour night and 12 hour days shift

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering/Maintenance department to reduce machine downtime as well as PM & production schedules
  • Monitor existing products for process deviations and initiate corrective action as needed
  • Respond to customer complaints regarding quality or delivery
  • Work with Quality Control department to resolve any issues related to non-conforming material
  • Develop training programs for operators and maintenance personnel
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and GMPs
  • Perform regular audits of the manufacturing floor to identify potential safety hazards or quality problems
  • Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, logistics, and inventory control to optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and capital expenditure plans
  • Participate in cross functional teams focused on continuous improvement projects
  • Proven track record reducing waste & driving Safety
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manufacturing Unit Leader
