Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology or Chemistry – an asset
- 3 – 5 years previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Familiar with GMP and HACCP
- Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills
- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime
Responsibilities
- Full chemical analysis on all stages of oil processing from seed to refined, bleached and deodorized oils
- Ensure products are being made according to documented internal Richardson and customer requirements
- Providing release approval to pre-load and load oil products
- Provide analysis for non-conforming products and feedback to production on required analysis
- Verify incoming raw materials meet food safety quality requirements
- Conduct retained sample collection and ensure samples are controlled for the required period of time
- Recognize actual / potential food safety and quality issues
- Conduct inspection and testing analysis on incoming raw materials, additional in-process and finished product
- Formulation of additives blends
- Carrying out Food Safety Audits
