Requirements
- Experience writing, delivering, and operating software in a SaaS environment
- 5+ years mentoring and developing successful teams
- A strong sense of empathy for customers and teammates
- A desire to build a diverse team that wins together and prioritises customer success
Responsibilities
- Lead a team (or teams) to deliver work that impacts Toast’s success
- Grow the capabilities of your team’s engineers over time
- Find ways to make your teams more efficient
- Connect their work to Toast’s broader mission
- Review design documents and PRs
- Coordinate discussions between teams
- Collaborate on roadmaps with architectural and product stakeholders
- Conduct 1:1s with team members
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to make our international ambitions a reality
- Work closely with Product Managers to define and refine roadmap, identify product gaps, navigate dependencies
- Triaging and managing customer issues, sometimes in person in the restaurant
- Mentor both new and experienced engineers in both technology and leadership
- Engage the team to be a problem solver for our customers
- Track and ensure teams are delivering impact and outcomes in their work
- Monitor the quality of our solution experience and constantly improve it
- Hire and develop new team members
