Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
- Two (2+) years of relevant experience. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education for a highly qualified candidate.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Army SMS dashboard with the most recent IDES data and have the ability to make recommendations for changes to the dashboard.
- Data extracted from SMS will be used to present current and project future status on different programs in MEDCOM/OTSG, this requirement is mission dependent.
- Develop and refine IDES metrics in SMS on a weekly, bimonthly basis for approval by the Government.
- Analyze requested metrics in SMS and provide the current performance state for the applicable MTF based on MTF performance – and communicate findings to senior leaders. This requirement supports all MTFs and could result in daily or weekly updates to Government leadership.
- Draft weekly Executive Summaries (EXSUMs) on data trend changes that will negatively impact any metrics.
- Validate and Edit individual metrics in SMS to ensure the Regional or individual dashboards are uniform and readable.
- Participate in R&H work groups in preparation for SL participation. This information will be presented to GO. These meetings can be monthly or quarterly, as required by the Government.
- Extract weekly data points from the DoD Department of Veterans Affairs’ Veterans Tracking Application (VTA), apply appropriate transformation and cleaning techniques to ensure quality and consistency, and upload them into SMS to capture the DES updates by the close of business (COB) of the first business day of the week.
- Mine data from multiple Government sources (e.g. SMS, MEDCHART, eMEB/ePEB, VTA) and perform as-needed statistical analysis; apply standard statistical methods and evaluate the data; develop and provide recommendations to correct or mitigate negative trends or issues.
- Collect, prepare, interpret and present data and reports by the COB of the first business day of the week from VTA and SMS that accurately presents progress towards desired program metrics, outcome measures, and deliverables in an Information paper format, PowerPoint and/or Executive Summary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spider Impact software.
- Proficiency with statistical software (e.g. R, Python).
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Strong communication skills for presenting findings from analysis.
