Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 4+ years of experience in development and test of electronic circuits
  • 2+ years schematic entry and board layout experience (Altium PCB software preferred)
  • 2+ years experience with laboratory test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person, defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People’s Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the analog aspects of a complex electronic control system that interfaces digital, analog, and RF electronics
  • Perform circuit design, analysis, measurement, and test tasks
  • Work independently to complete projects on-time with first-pass success
  • Work in an R&D and rapid prototyping environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of industry experience in an engineering or R&D environment preferred
  • Analog circuit design and analysis, including ADC/DACs, amplifiers, passive/active filtering, analog control loops, low-noise design techniques and measurements
  • Background working with optics (AOMs, EOMs, photodetectors, lasers, etc)
  • Ability to model and simulate complex circuitry and validate the model with hardware measurements
  • Experience with circuit simulation/analysis tools such as SPICE
  • Extensive schematic entry and board layout experience (Altium PCB software preferred)
  • Proven leadership ability that includes small program execution and skills development and mentoring of other engineers and technicians
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate decisive business impact and continuous drive for improvement in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong communication skills and “right size” design documentation
  • ASIC, Digital, FPGA, and/or SW experience is also a plus, though not required
