Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience, preferably working in the entertainment and/or music industry
- Avid user of music streaming service(s) such as Amazon, Spotify, Apple, YouTube, etc.
- Extremely detail oriented, with strong follow up skills and work ethic
- Energetic, efficient, excellent time-management skills; this is a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated adaptability to changes and learn quickly
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills – diplomacy and interpersonal skills are a necessity
- Experience juggling competing tasks, with ability to manage a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrate curiosity and comfortable with sharing perspectives on assigned topics, prioritize issues, and initiate an appropriate response with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, and Office Suite
- Minimum 4 full days a week (Mon-Thurs) in our Burbank office
Responsibilities
- Support overall execution of catalog strategy (soundtracks, artists, & concerts)
- Provide support and feedback to find new and exciting ways to continue to develop and grow DMG’s catalog business
- Partner with various teams, including International and Marketing, to effectively support execution DMG’s catalog plan
- Coordinate regular social support for key playlists
- Build presentations for internal and external use
- Coordinate asset development for campaigns by collaborating with key members of the Sales & Digital, Marketing, and third-party agency teams
- Route assets to the proper stakeholders in a timely manner and follow-up for an on-time delivery
- Manage orders for fulfillment via the Shopify commerce platform
- Organize customer service emails (order status, tracking, etc.)
- Support DME virtual store art redesign and asset management
- Process all audio and video requests with UMG to ensure that content is available for social posts. Liaise with DMG’s Legal, Production, Publishing, Sync, Marketing, and Social teams
- Aid with dynamic/fixed playlist curation, research, and calendar updates
- Present fresh ideas for new playlists as well as ideas for refreshes and rebrands to ensure high fan engagement
- Coordinate playlist covers including brainstorming, working with the Creative team to bring ideas to life and, when necessary, approvals through the Marketing team
- Review song performance data to best optimize playlist performance via a variety of reporting platforms
- Utilize systems to proactively spot catalog trends
- Constantly have a finger on the pulse of relevant spikes and trends at partners such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
- Communicate findings, including context, to key members of the team and use findings to anticipate future opportunities
- Partner with project leads to research catalog opportunities (Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Disney Junior, NatGeo, artist catalog)
- Identify ways to creatively support catalog opportunities with our key brands and franchises worldwide
- Work with data/analytics team when necessary to provide additional context
- Maintain and update overall anniversary/birthday calendar
- Use new and existing resources to ensure that the calendar is always up to date with soundtrack and artist/band release anniversaries and artist birthdays
- Assist with UMG playlist team pitches and overall meeting prep. & follow-ups
- Attend bi-weekly meetings and provide input as well as any necessary follow-ups
- Provide weekly new release updates as well as bi-weekly overall project updates
- Create presentations reflecting DMG’s priorities when necessary
- Regularly audit playlists and profiles at partners such as Spotify, Apple, Amazon, and YouTube to ensure that changes are made in a timely manner. Communicate finds to DMG’s DSP leads.
