Requirements
- Knowledge of tempering oils, thermocouples, and carburizing atmospheres
- Basic interpretation of drawings
- Familiarity of metallurgy
- Interpersonal Skills
- Identification and repair of faults during the thermal treatment process
- Knowledge in sedimentation testing and grain flow
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Ensuring safety in thermal treatment furnace area
- Utilization of measuring instruments such as: durometer, micro-durometer, carbon analyzer and gas analyzer
- Acquire/provide resources for direct operators
- Monitor the fulfillment of the activities such as: production report in Plex system, quality releases, scrap report, check list, etc.
- Assist in planning, programming, configuration, and operation of production flows in work area
- Assist in production work and provide support when required
- Responsible for the control of quality processes
- All other duties as assigned
