Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
  • Experience with missile/unmanned aircraft testing
  • Experience performing integration, verification, and field qualification of test assets
  • Knowledge of system integration lab operation to include hardware in the loop (HWIL) design
  • Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and maintain solutions for integrating and testing missile subsystems and complete missile systems
  • Document all processes and maintain thorough records to ensure traceability and repeatability
  • Work with Test and Systems team to develop and execute missile system test and evaluation plans for systems under development
  • Ensure that test solutions align with customer contractual needs and requirements, while adhering to technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards for missile systems
  • Address hardware/software interface issues and define input/output parameters to ensure seamless integration of the entire system or subsystem
  • Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability
  • Develop and oversee the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems
  • Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with other programs and organizations within the company
  • Ensure clear and effective communication across teams to maintain alignment and efficiency
  • Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports at the subsystem and system levels
  • Verify and validate system performance against defined requirements
  • Write detailed discrepancy reports documenting any issues identified during testing
  • Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience with weapons or missile systems
  • Skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tiers
  • Past history of developing baseline project definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of integrated trade studies and analysis
