Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- Experience with missile/unmanned aircraft testing
- Experience performing integration, verification, and field qualification of test assets
- Knowledge of system integration lab operation to include hardware in the loop (HWIL) design
- Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and maintain solutions for integrating and testing missile subsystems and complete missile systems
- Document all processes and maintain thorough records to ensure traceability and repeatability
- Work with Test and Systems team to develop and execute missile system test and evaluation plans for systems under development
- Ensure that test solutions align with customer contractual needs and requirements, while adhering to technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Establish functional and technical specifications and standards for missile systems
- Address hardware/software interface issues and define input/output parameters to ensure seamless integration of the entire system or subsystem
- Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability
- Develop and oversee the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems
- Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with other programs and organizations within the company
- Ensure clear and effective communication across teams to maintain alignment and efficiency
- Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports at the subsystem and system levels
- Verify and validate system performance against defined requirements
- Write detailed discrepancy reports documenting any issues identified during testing
- Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Experience with weapons or missile systems
- Skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tiers
- Past history of developing baseline project definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of integrated trade studies and analysis
