Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with a proven track record of leading GenAI research, engineering teams, and managing AI product development in a large-scale organization, preferably within financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI models, machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable AI solutions.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor junior and senior technical associates.
- Experience working with large datasets, cloud technologies, and version control systems like Git.
- Excellent project management experience, preferably with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Deep understanding of Generative AI techniques and applications (e.g., GANs, transformers, NLP models).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to innovate and stay ahead of emerging industry trends and technologies.
- A keen interest in the financial services industry and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in applying AI to finance.
- High analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives to explore and develop advanced Generative AI solutions tailored to financial services.
- Oversee the end-to-end development of GenAI products and solutions. Ensure that products are built using Python, SQL, and other relevant technologies, while maintaining high standards of code quality, scalability, and performance.
- Manage and mentor a team of GenAI researchers and engineers. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and career development for associates and junior engineers.
- Lead cross-functional teams to define, scope, and deliver GenAI projects on time and within budget. Use Agile methodologies to manage project timelines and ensure effective coordination across stakeholders.
- Work closely with business units, including product managers, data analysts, and other teams within the organization, to understand business needs and translate them into GenAI-driven solutions.
- Keep up to date with the latest advancements in GenAI and related fields. Attend conferences, engage with the AI research community, and implement emerging techniques and technologies into your team’s work.
- Ensure that the GenAI models and systems comply with relevant regulations, security standards, and best practices. Actively identify risks and work to mitigate them during product development and deployment.
- Regularly communicate project progress, risks, and key achievements to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Provide clear and actionable insights into AI research and engineering efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the financial services or fintech industry, especially in areas like risk management, trading algorithms, customer experience, or fraud detection.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to AI/ML applications in finance.
- Publications or contributions to AI research (optional).
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
