Requirements
- An earned doctorate in education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field is required.
- A strong record of teaching STEM at the 4-8 and/or secondary levels or teaching in STEM education.
- Expertise and experience in special education, a demonstrated knowledge of assessment, data literacy, and digital and media literacies/multimodalities.
- Ability as a researcher, scholar, and teacher in a relevant field for Assistant Professor candidates.
- Clear program of research, publication record, evidence of or potential for receiving extramural funding, and experience with teaching and mentorship for Associate Professor candidates.
Responsibilities
- Teach three courses per semester, including undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Participate in academic advising and recruitment and accreditation efforts.
- Supervise candidates in field/student teaching experiences.
- Engage in scholarly activities in their respective area of expertise.
- Obtain external funding to support research and scholarly activities.
- Provide service across the College and University that promotes a commitment to the professional and regional community, including DEIB goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise and experience in special education.
