Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in supervisor or management position in healthcare or related field required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of scheduling and coordination specialty care services for PACE Participants.
• Supervises, trains, mentors, and evaluates the work performance of Scheduling Coordinators and Transportation Coordinators.
• Ensures that the team’s ready-to-schedule work queues are managed and that the end-to-end standard scheduling workflows and standard operating procedures are followed.
• Oversees daily scheduling functions, ensuring the efficient processing of pre-authorization requests and approved referrals.
• Supervises the coordination of daily specialty appointments, including daily transportation requirements, and identifying barriers to scheduling specialty appointments and completing scheduled visits.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in process or quality improvement projects or activities preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare software programs/systems (EHR, Epic, Connect) preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical specialty services appointment scheduling preferred.
