Purchasing Manager

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant certifications (APICS) a plus. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
5–7 years of progressive experience in purchasing and materials management, ideally within the medical device sector.
Strong understanding of Class II and III medical device regulations, including FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and MDR compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline purchasing operations.
Demonstrated success in driving cost savings, negotiating supplier contracts, and evaluating supplier performance to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and cross-functional partnerships.

Design and execute commodity sourcing strategies that optimize costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. Lead complex projects, including outsourced manufacturing initiatives.

Anticipate commodity specific risk such as price volatility and supply chain disruptions before they happen. Develop contingency plans and alternate sourcing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted operations.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams to streamline procurement processes and keep production moving seamlessly.
Play a key role in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems, ensuring accurate purchasing records and leveraging data for smarter decision-making.
Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping.
