Requirements
- Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, Manager Development Program module
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage time efficiently
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems
Responsibilities
- Maximizing sales by directing team members to provide prompt, courteous, and professional service
- Soliciting orders, selling company products, and representing the company according to policies
- Maintaining customer base and increasing sales volume at assigned accounts
- Communicating with and coordinating sales call efforts with the Territory Sales Manager
- Supervising work performed by all store team members and collaborating with the District Manager in various HR functions
- Utilizing Scheduling & Timekeeping recommendations to develop work schedules
- Reviewing team member timecards for accuracy and correcting missed punches
- Ensuring team members improve their skills through company training
- Working with Sales and Pricing Departments to establish pricing levels
- Maximizing gross profit on outside purchases
- Monitoring price overrides and price matches for policy compliance
- Ensuring the store operates according to company policies and procedures
- Communicating new information from the company to team members
- Implementing planogram changes and merchandising plans
- Providing accurate stock adjustment recaps to Inventory Control Department
- Handling daily store accounting functions for efficiency
- Monitoring charge accounts and addressing past due situations
- Implementing loss prevention procedures in susceptible areas
- Ensuring store vehicles are clean and well-maintained
- Reporting property/building needs using the Maintenance and Repair System (MARS)
- Attending the Annual Managers’ Conference
- Performing all other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
- Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE certification
