Requirements
- STEM Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong technical background
- 10+ years space operations or space acquisition experience
- Experience with space design and/or architecture development including satellite ground systems
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques
- Proficiency in using simulation software and programming languages (i.e., AFSIM, MATLAB, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of and experience with descriptive modeling frameworks, languages, methods, and tools (i.e., Mission Engineering, DODAF, UAF, SysML, Cameo)
- Knowledge of Joint and Space Warfighting Concepts; Doctrine; and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures
- Experience with and knowledge of DoD, IC, and commercial satellite systems
- CI Poly eligibility
- Ability to travel as needed
Responsibilities
- Examine future warfighting concepts and mission areas to assess and document (Adversary and/or Joint) interdependencies for the purpose of enabling model-based system engineering
- Develop dependency models compatible with digital engineering software and consistent with community best practices
- Develop descriptive/mathematical/computational models to simulate how space capabilities interact with the larger DoD enterprise to include Space & Terrestrial capabilities
- Analyze input data from multiple sources to validate their use in modeling and simulation activities; Analyze simulation results and impact on the US Space Force and Joint Force operations
- Use models, simulation, and analysis to forecast the effects of red, blue & grey capabilities
- Lead Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Working Groups across the USG
- Produce Recurring products in support of Force Design Processes and Objective Force Architectures
- Enhance SWAC Program and Integration Layer analysis
- Interface with SWAC Program technical experts and DoD analytic partners
- Articulate technical space system design recommendations and trade space decisions based on warfighting impact
- Support high-visibility space-based capability studies
Preferred Qualifications
- STEM Master’s Degree
- 4+ years Joint operational planning, integration, or requirements development experience
- 5+ years of commercial/civil space experience
- Experience working in SCI/SAP environment
- SCI and Special Access Required eligibility
