Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 14 years of prior Aerospace and Defense experience or Advanced Degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience
  • Military experience in acquiring defense products, and/or military experience operating airborne Radio Frequency & Electronic Warfare products, and/or working at a defense contractor to develop and deploy defense products
  • Experience with project and/or program management with business/financial reporting
  • Experience writing proposals to military customers
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Grow existing business, generate new opportunities, and capture new business. Develop a deep understanding of existing and prospective customers, understand current and future Radio Frequency products and capabilities, and understand the competitive landscape. Develop and execute coordinated approaches to new business opportunities. Develop and execute comprehensive capture campaigns. Be responsible for the discretionary spending budgets to capture new business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with critical U.S. Department of Defense program office stakeholders, international customers, aircraft original equipment manufacturers and partner companies. Identify new business opportunities, proactively communicate and be part of developing the strategic direction for our products and markets and be the voice of the customer.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and partners. Collaborate closely with business line leaders, engineering leads, manufacturing, capture and proposal, other business/product lines, partner companies, and customers.
  • Communicate our value to customers, partners, competitors, and the interested public. Will be the business development face of the organization and be directly involved in go-to-market strategy development and execution of go-to-market plans.
  • Provide vision to your team members and recruit and retain key personnel to resource the requirements of the business plan.
  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions.
  • Travel 50% of the time (domestically & internationally)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Military/Operational experience utilizing RF systems (radar and/or electronic warfare)
  • Military Acquisition experience – intimate understanding of and experience navigating the Defense Acquisition process
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – strong executive presence and ability to influence and make recommendations at all levels of the organization with proven track record in building and maintaining relationships in our industry
  • Ability to generate innovative insights from data analysis and work with business partners in developing and implementing new methodologies and analysis to drive actionable results
