Requirements
- Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree.
- 5+ years of experience building distributed & scalable software and systems.
- Experience building API-based webservices in a higher-level language and a desire to learn Ruby.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis or similar database and caching technologies.
- AWS / Azure / GCP cloud experience: Extensively used one of these platforms at the API/programming level.
Responsibilities
- Develop platform components and microservices for a distributed, resilient, and highly scalable multi-tenant system.
- Write code primarily in Ruby, use PostgreSQL and Redis in the data layer, and leverage Kubernetes in public clouds for our infrastructure.
- Own the entire software development lifecycle for critical features and services.
- Partner with Product Management to refine requirements, own functional, integration, and performance testing to ensure our products are robust and resilient.
- Lead customer escalations, performing in-depth troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to ensure successful, timely issue resolution and optimal customer outcomes.
- Participate in high-profile customer calls, offering technical and architectural guidance to support customer deployments, use cases, scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical challenges and communicate clear, actionable solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
- Experience delivering a containerized service running on Kubernetes in public clouds is a plus.
- Experience with networking and network security is a plus.
