Requirements
- High School Diploma / G.E.D. and 12 years of experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years of experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling/maintenance experience.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business.
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd Shift.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of non-exempt employees, who are responsible for the maintenance /repair of Ground Support Equipment, Tooling and Special Test Equipment (STE).
- Leads the GSE/Tooling team in executing best practices following PrOP documents, T.O’s and owner manuals.
- Providing direction and mentorship to the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) mechanics, machine shop and tooling personnel in the GSE/ Tooling area.
- Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work orders in support of overall maintenance of equipment.
- Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
- Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.
- Ensure proper planning of work scheduled for the machine shop, setting priorities.
- Experience in managing teams responsible for GSE maintenance and operations.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics and manufacturing operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree and a minimum of 6 years of Aircraft Manufacturing experience.
- Previous Leadership, Supervisory or Management experience.
- Ability to solve problems effectively.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to support team environment and build strong team.
- A strong maintenance background.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel.
