Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management and/or related field.
- Five years of experience in a security role with a minimum of two years in a leadership or supervisory position.
- Strong understanding of access control systems, security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Active and Current TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Vaxcom Corporate and Program Manager to ensure Security Officers are properly trained and certified as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive daily logs of security activities, incidents and communications.
- Report all incidences and need-to-know information to the project manager and program management teams.
- Communicate any relevant site/client/situational nuances to the site manager and subsequent chain of command (if necessary).
- Supervise, lead, coordinate and organize Security Officers and security teams as needed.
- Act as a liaison to Customer staff and departments as needed and appropriate.
- Collect daily roll call briefings from team leads and address any staff-related situations with the lead.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and training to new and existing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in security practices and procedures.
- Manage and resolve trouble tickets efficiently, coordinating with relevant departments to address security related issues.
- Develop and maintain the security teams schedule, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with labor regulations.
- Conduct combination training to the leads and other security staff to ensure client access to all spaces.
- Monitor the performance of the leads and other staff members, identify deficiencies, highlight successes and continuously update policies to adapt to any nuances with site and program operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in criminal justice, security management or related field.
- Experience with scheduling software and incident reporting.
- Proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Working knowledge of datacenter operations.
