Requirements
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of terminal operations, including cargo handling and ground support.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, stakeholders, and clients.
- Proficiency in operational and financial management tools and systems.
- Strong understanding of TSA regulations and airport operational requirements.
- Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all terminal operations, including cargo handling, ground support, and employee management, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and improve service delivery.
- Monitor terminal performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead and manage terminal staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with airline representatives and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with TSA regulations, airport requirements, and company policies.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are met for the terminal.
- Respond promptly to operational emergencies or disruptions, providing effective solutions to minimize impact.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on terminal performance, challenges, and achievements.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement among all terminal staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred or applicable experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in terminal or airport operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in aviation or cargo handling is strongly preferred.
