Deployment Manager

The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deployment Manager to oversee the roll-out of electronic health record (EHR) software solutions at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). You’ll leverage your understanding of EHR systems, healthcare IT, project management, and software deployment processes. You’ll leverage your expertise as an execution-minded driver with excellent communication skills, a discipline to manage to a schedule, an ability to identify and mitigate risk, and a passion for improving healthcare through technology for our country’s veterans.

As a project manager on our team, you’ll design, implement, and maintain impactful programs by guiding both the team and the effort. Our VA clients will trust you to organize and coordinate program objectives, while your team will look to you for direction as they navigate requirements, budget constraints, and staffing challenges. As an authority in the healthcare IT transformation market, you’ll identify opportunities to grow the business by supporting your client’s mission. You’ll also broaden your expertise in problem management, strategic planning, reviewing contracts, and more. This is your chance to impact healthcare provided to our nations’ veterans while sharing your knowledge and expertise of program management methodologies. This position is a Hybrid role with Booz Allen. Candidate is expected to work onsite at a Booz Allen or client facility 20-50% of your time, as needed.

You Have:

  • Knowledge of end-to-end deployment process for our VA clients in the EHR Modernization (EHRM) program
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, functional, clinical, and programmatic, to ensure successful EHR implementations
  • Ability to monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing issues that arise
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful deployments
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in project management, or 18+ years of experience in project management in lieu of a degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
