Lead Casting Process Engineer-Cores and Casting

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field/related area or equivalent to 10 years of related work experience.
Minimum of 5 years in operations/production manufacturing or process control.

Assure that all equipment used for casting is operating as designed, including all safety features.
Understanding how each piece of equipment used for castings and the limitations of each.
Define/update/revise work instructions and procedures required to assure operators perform tasks consistently.
Responsible for all 3D Design and machine programming used for all our casting machines.
Daily monitoring of processes, drive, lead or participate in process improvement initiatives and/or problem-solving teams to maintain budgeted FPY.
Intensive participation in cost reduction effort and reduction of scrap via rigorous investigation and problem solving.
Ensure PM are done on time for the equipment owned and help with the diagnostic of machine failure.
Daily interface with manufacturing, management, and product team.

5+ years of experience with new product design and/or casting experience.
2+ years of experience in process control.
Demonstrated track record of success in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, and highly competitive environment.
Demonstrated written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to convey concepts within all levels of our organization.
Experience with statistical and process improvement tools: 6-sigma, Minitab, SPC etc.
