Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Works well in MS Office with proficient abilities in Excel (VLOOKUP, IF Statements, Pivot Tables) highly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills desired
- Excellent customer service, problem solving, and decision-making skills preferred
- Strong analytical abilities and proficient in working with large subsets of data preferred
- Demonstrates working knowledge of logistics processes and systems, including warehouse management systems preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Ability to work as a team and proactively assist team members as necessary
- Excellent time management and organization skills
Responsibilities
- Manage key transportation data elements to support shipment planning, execution and expense management.
- Problem solving and communicating via email and in person to customer requests and issues.
- Develop and maintain excel based databases including weekly schedules, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), etc.
- Analyze and present data in a highly proficient, concise manner using Excel through key functions such as VLOOKUP, IF Statements and use of Pivot Tables.
- Ensure that customers have a positive experience; commits to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions.
- Accountable for ensuring the timely release of shipments.
- Provide KPI data and documentation for the network.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve specific goals.
- Identify and analyze routine system issues, documents occurrences, recommends a resolution path and acts with partner teams to resolve them.
- Responsible for making strategic decisions that affect the daily transportation of inventory valued at millions of dollars.
- Effectively collaborate with CHLC operations and customer forward distribution centers (FDCs) to foster a strong culture of teamwork.
- Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller pieces.
- Able to adapt to change and work autonomously.
