Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical or Electrical preferred or similar related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on engineering leadership roles or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical device design, development, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects and lead cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with CAD software, prototyping tools, and other relevant engineering technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for sustaining and new product development
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Compliance, Regulatory, and PMO teams to define program requirements and market needs
  • Develop and manage strategic project portfolio roadmaps spanning 1-3 years
  • Create, refine, and execute integrated program plans with clear milestones and deliverables
  • Execute CAPA by guiding cross-functional teams to resolution
  • Ensure program objectives are well-defined and communicated, balancing scope, schedule, and resources
  • Anticipate potential risks, develop contingency plans, and lead governance mechanisms to ensure project success
  • Facilitate timely and effective Phase Gate reviews and other decision-making processes with executive leadership
  • Guide the development of technical architectures and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. IEC-60601 and IEC-61010
  • Drive design reviews, providing critical, objective feedback to ensure robust solutions
  • Oversee architecture, design processes, and testing plans to meet agency and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor project progress and manage schedules, including work breakdown structures and task dependencies
  • Directly manage the performance, goals, and deliverables of engineering staff
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop individualized growth plans for team members
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to allocate and align resources with program needs
  • Foster a collaborative, goal-oriented culture that promotes continuous improvement and execution excellence
