Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Lead the annual audit process, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance internal controls
- Support the integration of systems, acquisitions, or new business units as needed
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Prior involvement with system implementations or process automation initiatives
