Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) years of experience planning and executing C5ISR research and development programs; in lieu of degree, must have a high School Diploma or graduate of a technical school with an additional four (4) years of experience.
  • Must have experience in a range of Integration facility skills like Machinist, Welding Coating applications, etc.
  • Must be capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program, and technical personnel.
  • Must have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle management of military systems.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of military systems.
  • Must be capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.
  • Must be capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Must be capable of providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) operation is required.
  • Must have an Active US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a full range of machine tools found in a well-equipped prototype development shop.
  • Work from engineering design drawings and technical specifications. Maintain dimensional accuracy, to specified tolerances, during machining processes, through the use of measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, inside/outside & depth micrometers, gage blocks, surface and height gages, and dial indicators).
  • Plans and oversees the fabrication and construction mechanisms, models and instruments that fulfill engineering requirements.
  • Determine necessity for special tools, dies and fixtures required to accomplish intricate machining and assembly operations and set-up and operate CNC machines (Machining Center, Lathe and Milling Machine).
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Plan programs being performed on these systems to include providing estimates for work and tracking expenditures.
  • Work with other engineers to design systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of a technical school or Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in the manufacturing of communications-electronics or military systems
