A bachelor’s degree is required in a relevant technical field: engineering physics or electrical engineering, optics, applied physics along with a minimum of 5 year experience in the photonic industry. Preferably, you have a master’s or a doctorate degree in a field related to photonics
In depth knowledge of integrated photonic components (coherent modulator and receiver, tunable laser, amplifier …)
Demonstrate advanced multidisciplinary knowledge in optics, mechanics and electronics
Ability to collaborate and lead multidisciplinary teams
Ability to elaborate test plans and methods for photonic components
Hands-on experience related to the characterization of photonic integrated components and circuits including DC and RF test methods for active and passive devices
You are familiar with the photonic and telecommunication industry and have established solid contacts/relationships in that field
You must be rigorous, well organized and structured, have a sense of initiative and a strong desire for innovation and demonstrated leadership in past projects
Team player with the ability to clearly communicate (synthesis) in a proactive and solution-focused manner
Be fluent in French and English (written and oral)

Contribute to technology watch on photonic components for future coherent modems and other future photonic applications
Write and communicate literature review on emerging and advanced technologies
Develop a strong understanding of internal coherent modem requirements
Test in the labs photonic components under evaluation
Interact with internal development teams and external suppliers
Defined and collaborate with other groups to realize prototypes
Establish collaborations with universities/academia aligned with advanced technology fields

Preferably, you have a master’s or a doctorate degree in a field related to photonics
