Requirements
- State property and casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain, required
- Knowledge of insurance agency operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with a great attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Must be thorough, detail-oriented and is responsible for working with confidential information
- Ability to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines and coordinate multiple jobs
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service with accuracy in processing renewals, endorsements, policies, and audits by agency required timelines
- Ensures timely processing of invoices and client requests
- Work with client/team on gathering marketing data, preserving quotes, client/carrier correspondence and updated client information in agency management system
- Prepares and implements all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts
- Develop and maintain relationships with carrier representatives and remain educated on carrier appetites
- Advocates for client in the marketing process to obtain the best outcomes for clients by negotiating initial pricing and coverages with carrier underwriters or wholesalers
- Accompanies Sales/Account Executive/Account Specialist/Strategic Account Executive on client visits as required
- Prepares reports, proposals, and comparisons for team as required
- Advanced knowledge of carrier online systems for obtaining quotes, loss runs, billing information, policy documents, etc.
- Primarily responsible for maintaining current receivable status for assigned clients
- Proactive efforts to collect receivables more than 30 days past-due should be undertaken, with each unresolved circumstance documented and reported to Sales Executive and accounting
- Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issues
- May be involved in training of new hires
- Identifies opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell
- Refer claim issues regarding client loss or company denial problems to the claims team
- Develop competency in insurance coverages and various offerings from our insurance partners
- Continue to broaden knowledge of the industry with continuing education, learning markets and accessing new ones when necessary for growing a book
- Follows HUB Broker Standards policies/procedures
- Other duties may be assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university preferred
- At least two years of experience related to property and casualty account management preferred
- Experience with Epic or other insurance related software preferred
- Ability to acquire and maintain approved accredited program designation preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications
